i-conometric is used for the frictional, cementless fastening of bridges.

To compensate for axial divergences between the implants, a 5° conical cap is placed on the i-LiNQ® and cold-welded with a tightening torque of 15 Ncm. This conical cap is available in 0° and 15° angulations.

As with the i-connect system, when taking impressions for i-conometric restorations, it is crucial to ensure a precise transfer of the intraoral situation to the model. Inaccuracies inevitably prevent the friction mechanism between the conical cap and the bridge structure, which is cemented extraorally onto the abutments, from establishing a secure hold. Therefore, we also recommend the two-step impression technique for the i-conometric treatment concept

In the first step, a reposition impression is taken using the one-piece impression posts. On a preliminary model, the PEEK caps of the three-piece impression posts are bonded together with plastic and divided into individual segments.

In the second step, the embedded PEEK caps are connected to the metal base of the 3-part impression post and screwed onto the i-conometric caps. The thin gaps between the individual segments are filled with a suitable composite material in the mouth. The impression can now be completed using a closed impression tray.

i-conometric abutments are available in diameters of 5.0 mm and 6.5 mm and gingival heights of short [S], regular [R], and long [L]. Angled abutments are not required for the i-conometric technique and are therefore not available.
