In surgical periodontology, we very often use extremely fine suture material and very delicate needles. It's remarkable that even in sizes 6/0 and higher, ATRAMAT offers high needle strength and the sutures don't break uncontrollably. Previously, I had many problems with bent needles and broken sutures, especially with these particularly thin suture sizes. Since I've been using ATRAMAT, I no longer have such problems. I now routinely use these microsurgical suture types, which results in significantly better wound healing. I see a similar application in aesthetic implant surgery.

Suture material plays a central role in our surgical referral practice. We have been using ATRAMAT since 2006 in a wide variety of indications, thicknesses, and needle shapes.
For me, there are three quality criteria for suture materials:
- Stability of the needle in terms of stability and sharpness
- Homogeneity and tensile strength of the suture material
- Secure hold of the thread in the needle
ATRAMAT meets all these criteria with flying colors. As an alternative to the standard 45 cm lengths, ATRAMAT offers extra-long 75 cm sutures for almost the same price. This means I only need one suture pack for four wisdom teeth in a single appointment. And even with these longer sutures, the aforementioned quality features are maintained right down to the last knot.

We have been using ATRAMAT in our dental practice and our three branch practices in the greater Stuttgart area since 2009. My dental colleagues and I are highly satisfied with the quality of the suture material.
In addition to our surgical work, we organize numerous continuing education courses in the field of implantology.
